Short Film Competition

Monday March 19 at 9.30am Cinema Odeon Sala B

Saturday March 24 at 7.30pm Spazio MenoMale

Winning short films Sunday March 25 at 4pm Biblioteca Ruffilli

This section is dedicated to short films and is the heart of this festival: films from all over the world will tell of emotions, feelings, and points of view through voices, sounds and perspectives with different expressions and styles. Choosing among the many works sent in is always difficult, especially when the available projection time is limited. This process causes a certain admiration for the courage of the film makers, putting themselves out there in a era dominated by an overwhelming superficiality, a shiny effervescence which hides a profound emptiness, a the total lack of funding for those who feel the need to tell a story. The viewing of these films, many of which are made by kids, allows us to spend some time in pleasant company, sharing thoughts, emotions, and confrontations with the desire to continue hoping for a better world, a more welcoming world in all aspects of life, culture and society.

The films are listed in the order in which they will be shown
