A festival dedicated to adolescents is a way to get together and examine the themes which are present in today’s reality, comparing oneself to “another self” found on the screen. The Cinema offers the possibility to look in from the outside, as a spectator, which allows us to see ourselves from the outside: because the protagonist always has something in him taken from ourselves, something we were not totally aware of; it is only when we see him that we are able to understand ourselves. But exactly for this reason, the film must be quality work, it cannot fall into banality and the obvious, it should not be a spokesperson for stereotypes and common ground, but offer originality and unusual points of view, it must tell about reality but also by using imagination, which is the only way to represent it in a significant manner
And if the films come from other countries and therefore from different social-cultural contexts, one can create a comparison with other worlds, learning to accept diversity but also similarities. Integration is knowing how to welcome the imagination of others, it is the rediscovery, through their fantasies, of the desire to also share reality with them.
