March 10th to 14th,2009 in Bologna five days dedicated to youg people, viewers and interpreters of the festival.
Youngabout – International festival youth and cinema, cured by cultural association Gli anni in tasca.
After the success of 2008, the second edition of the International Festival Youngabout, Youth and Cinema, is in the works.
It is our intention to give a voice to young creativity; there will be spaces where it will be possible to show one's own work and at the same time experiment with new languages and new techniques by attending laboratories and workshops offered by Italian and foreign artists!
Online you can find information about our second competition for short films, which, after being selected, will be projected during the days of the Festival from March 10 - 14, 2009.
Dearest guys and girls, if you are between the ages of 16 and 20 years old, and you want to take part in the jury that will select the winning films, you are kindly asked to send (to youngabout@libero.it) the review of a film of your choice: it is important in the essay to demonstrate your love for the cinema and the capacity to personally judge films. You will have the possibility to spend a few intense days in Bologna, in the company of other young people who are passionate about cinema.
Scholastic Institutions: The high schools in Bologna and other Italian and foreign cities that would like to participate in the morning viewings of the Festival can book by writing to the email address: youngabout@libero.it.
Besides the short films during the Festival, there will also be full length film viewings, national premiers, both from our Country and from every other part of the world!
